  1. In the front yard make sure shrubs and landscaping enhance, not hide, your home.  Shrubs should be lowered to be no higher than the height of your home, usually lower.
  2. Cut tree limbs to be far enough from the ground that you can walk under them.
  3.  Flowers make people feel welcome and add color to the home.  Consider adding hanging baskets or just two few flower pots at the door entrance.
  4. Clean, repaint or replace, mailbox, porch lights, and address numbers.
  5. Clean repaint or replace your front door.
  6. Clean the front windows and if you have wood windows repaint.
  7. Keep the lawn mowed and edged.  A perfectly mowed lawn does a wonders for first impressions.
  8. Aerate and seed any bare or thin spots in your lawn.
  9. Put hoses neatly away.
  10.  Keep your lawn weed free.
